Our client Concept Building Services contacted Tricel in early 2022 to request a quotation for a Pre-packaged Place Down-and-Connect Fire Pump House intended to be installed in the Somerset Village of Yeovilton.

Tricel Solution
Several sales and engineering staff from Tricel and Grundfos worked in close collaboration from the initial enquiry stage to the final design and specification and installation of this engineered-to-order pumping unit in May 2022. They utilised their wealth of industry knowledge to ensure that the final product satisfied the project-specific requirements of all parties involved.
Due to the weight and footprint of the pump station, a mobile crane weighing more than 500 tonnes was utilised for lifting and positioning the equipment around 90 metres from its initial position onboard a flatbed vehicle.
We faced several challenges throughout this project, including a tight timeline and a restricted space. We at Tricel were pleased to assist with our specialist expertise. All of which were supplied within a time frame that suited our client.

- Pre-packaged Place-Down-and-Connect Fire Pump House
A pump package comprises the main Electric set & Electric standby set with a single Jockey pump installed with a pipework system to provide the required flow.
Main and Standby Pumps: End-Suction centrifugal pump type NB80-2501 with 100mm suction & 80mm discharge close-coupled to a 90kW, 2979 rpm, 415V/3ph/50Hz IP55 TEFV electric motor.
Including manufacture of a complete pump house and installation of Fire, pump sets inside with Pipework, wiring & lighting to provide a fully packaged unit.
Pipework termination is external to the enclosure with a provision in the base of one wall to accommodate power and alarm cables.

We provide preventative maintenance contracts and also cater for specific repairs, including replacements seals or complete overhauls.
Our technical team will visit your location and complete an entire site survey to ensure your project is accurately specified, and the most suitable system installed and maintained to the highest quality.
