PUMPING SOLUTIONS

Pump Commissioning

OVERVIEW

One of the most important parts of any pump design and installation is the commissioning phase. Commissioning involves checking and testing all components of the pump system to verify that it meets design specifications, operates correctly, and meets safety requirements. Proper commissioning can prevent costly downtime, equipment damage, and help reduce warranty claims. Tricel offers a complete commissioning package to all of our customers, which starts from the design and specification of your pumping solution, to the installation of your pump and ensuring that the pump is fully operational.

Before the Pump Commissioning

Your Tricel commissioning service will begin from the moment your initial enquiry reaches our technical team. From here, our technical team will design and/or specify the most suitable pumping solution for your needs.

Once you have chosen your most suitable pump, reviewed the drawing and any relevant documents, we will then work to have your pumping solution ready for commissioning. If you have chosen a bespoke pumping solution such as a booster pump or a skid set, our engineers will build these for you in our dedicated pump workshop. A member of our service team will then be in touch with you to book a date and time that best suits you to arrange a commissioning service.

Pump System

During the Pump Commissioning

During a Tricel pump commissioning service, one of our many specialist engineers will travel to your site. Here, they will ensure that your pumping system is installed correctly, which would involve checking all connections, valves, and components to ensure that they are correctly installed. It also involves checking for any leaks and addressing them before continuing with the commissioning process. If needed, they would then also check the control system. This involves verifying that all control devices, such as sensors and switches, are installed and working correctly. It also involves checking the programming of the control system and ensuring that it meets the required specifications.

Having checked that all accessories, ancillaries and control systems are working, our engineer will then move on to the pump itself. This would involve starting the pump and checking that it operates correctly. It also involves checking the pump performance, such as flow rate, pressure, and temperature, and ensuring that they meet the required specifications. We would also check the safety devices installed, such as alarms or interlocks to ensure that all safety procedures are in place and working correctly.

Finally, we would then conduct a performance test, which would involve testing the pump performance under a number of different conditions, using various flow rates and pressures to ensure that it would meet all of the specified requirements.

Once the commissioning is complete, all the testing, verification, and commissioning results must be documented for future reference. This includes the pump system’s operating manual, maintenance procedures, test reports, and other relevant documentation.

Following your Tricel commissioning service, you can also avail of our maintenance services. Our Tricel pump maintenance services ensures that your pump is kept in the very best condition, any repairs will be complete, and any disruptions are minimised.
